A FEW WORDS
Sophia’s superlative strengths for brand vision, aesthetic and design for color, concept and product development; marketing and store design keep her much in demand.
Honing her design and forecasting skills between major retailers, extensive European travel and an up-and-coming women’s label in the u.s., Sophia partnered with Satine Boutique in Los Angeles in 2004. with a keen eye and decisive direction, she collaborated in the expansion of the brand, infusing the stock list with exclusive international designers, introducing a signature, private label, and co-branded program, opening a press and sales showroom for emerging labels, and landed the boutique in over 60 magazines in just three years time.
Sophia became known for her ability to predict what women will want to wear in six months time. Working largely on instinct, while at Satine she launched brands such as Roland Mouret, Rodarte and was also an early champion of Acne, Pierre Hardy and Isabel Marant. This lead to being recognized as Harper’s Bazaar Style Leader twice in one year and Vogue Australia’s top fashion export.
All the momentum at Satine attracted design houses who were eager for the creative eye of the owners for their projects, this lead to collaborations and designing for houses such as italian shoe house Rodo, S &J and various fashion consulting projects.
